Laminate:

Dry in place or remove (Non-porous flooring such as Pergo can trap water. It might be necessary to remove the laminate in order to dry the sub-floor.)

Hardwood:

Dry in place or remove (Your hardwood flooring is not restorable or it is more cost-effective to remove it then dry it in place.)

Sub-floor:

Evaluate walls, ceilings and cabinets.

Remove baseboards.

Depending on the type of baseboard, removal may be necessary to help dry the structure, addressing moisture trapped between the baseboard and the wall.

Drill holes in walls/sheet rock/ceilings for drying/ventilation.

Holes allow trapped, moist air to escape quickly, preventing further damage to sheet rock and framing and preventing potential microbial growth.

Remove drywall/sheet rock.

JOB SITE INSPECTIONS.

It will be necessary for us to have access to your house during business hours throughout the drying process in order to properly monitor the temperature, humidity and our equipment. So we can track the drying process, please work to your house with our office on your method for re-entry.

PHASE 2. RE-INSTALLATION / CLEANING.

When carpet can be successfully restored, we might need to install new pad and reinstall the carpet. Re-installation includes threshold fix and/or replacement, seam repair, and re-attaching the tack strip. Following the re-installation, carpet is cleaned and deodorized. The carpet will have to be cleaned and deodorized After the pad and carpet can be successfully restored through drying. During this phase, other damaged furnishings or any upholstery will be cleaned. If equipment is still current, it will be removed by the technician at this moment.

PHASE 3. STRUCTURAL REPAIRS.

If appropriate, after the drying process is complete, structural damage is assessed and the repair phase can begin. At this moment, drywall, ceilings and floors will be repaired. If the carpet can’t be salvaged, pad and new carpet will be installed. It might be appropriate to complete repairs that are structural before re-installation and cleaning.
